MOTHER THERESA TEACHINGS

MOTHER TERESA ON SUFFERING Have you ever felt like absolutely everything in your life is falling apart? Like your life is one big, hot mess, and there is absolutely no way it’s ever going to get any better? Whether it’s the death of a loved one, sickness, loss of job, failed relationship, financial bankruptcy, we’ve all been in that situation at some point. But no matter what, please don’t give up. Don’t lose hope. It will pass. Let’s hear what SAINT MOTHER TERESA has to say on “suffering” : I “Pain and suffering have come into your life, but remember pain, sorrow, suffering are but the kiss of Jesus - a sign that you have come so close to Him that He can kiss you.” II “There is a light in this world, a healing spirit more powerful than any darkness we may encounter. We sometimes lose sight of this force when there is suffering, too much pain. Then suddenly, the spirit will emerge through the lives of ordinary people who hear a call and answer in extraordinary ways.” III “Suffering is nothing by itself. But suffering shared with the passion of Christ is a wonderful gift, the most beautiful gift, a token of love.” IV “We are at Jesus' disposal. If he wants you to be sick in bed, if he wants you to proclaim His work in the street, if he wants you to clean the toilets all day, that's all right, everything is all right. We must say, "I belong to you. You can do whatever you like." And this ..is our strength, and this is the joy of the Lord.” V “Find your own Calcutta. Find the sick, the suffering and the lonely right there where you are.” — Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta
